My class entered a competition for World Book Day run by a large Bookshop chain. After brainstorming ideas we decided to make a giant open book. We had lots of different themes escaping from the pages and the finished entry looked impressive. The children researched about famous people or things and these were included in the pages of the book.
No-one was more surprised than me when our entry won and our book was displayed in the shop window. Our prize was £500 worth of books for the school. This was an enjoyable topic and it is one you could perhaps do as a display for the entrance to school on World Book Day. You could use various different themes and all class could make a book.
